The Knockturnal caught up with voice talents Gaten Matarazzo and Tony Revolori, along with writers and executive producers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, to talk about the newest chapter in the LEGO® Star Wars saga.
The highly anticipated four-part sequel, LEGO® Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past, premieres September 19, 2025, exclusively on Disney+. This latest animated special expands the LEGO® Star Wars universe with a mix of returning favorites, exciting newcomers, and a legendary surprise cameo.
A Galaxy Rebuilt
Picking up where 2024’s LEGO® Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy left off, the new installment introduces a rising galactic danger that only Sig and Dev Greebling can confront. Using their abilities of Force Building and Sith Breaking, the brothers must unite with Jedi Bob, Yesi Scala, and Servo to journey through the farthest reaches of LEGO® Star Wars history. Along the way, they’ll uncover powerful fragments from galaxies long past, setting the stage for a showdown.
Voices That Bring the Galaxy to Life
Matarazzo reprises his role as Sig Greebling, with Revolori returning as Dev Greebling. They’re joined once again by Bobby Moynihan (Jedi Bob), Marsai Martin (Yesi Scala), Michael Cusack (Servo), and Billy Dee Williams as the Landolorian. Additional returning voices include Ahmed Best (Darth Jar Jar), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Sam Witwer (Maul), Helen Sadler (Darth Rey), Phil LaMarr (Darth Kit Fisto), Matthew Wood (General Grievous), Jake Green (Greedo), Shelby Young (Princess Leia), Piotr Michael (Yoda), Matt Sloan (Jedi Vader), Trevor Devall (Jedi Master Sheev), Dee Bradley Baker (Darth Nubs), Naomi Ackie (Jedi Jannah), Kevin Michael Richardson (Jedi Jabba the Hutt), and Kelly Marie Tran (Darth Rose Tico). And of course, the saga wouldn’t be complete without Mark Hamill’s guest appearance as Luke Skywalker.
New additions to the cast include Dan Stevens as Solitus, Ben Schwartz as Jaxxon, Jennifer Hale as Viper, Ashley Eckstein reprising Ahsoka Tano, Catherine Taber as Pirate Queen Amidala, Cameron Monaghan as Cal Kestis, Andre Sogliuzzo as Cassian Andor, Nika Futterman as Asajj Ventress, James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Brian George as Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Alan Tudyk returning as K-2SO.
LEGO® Fun at Home
In addition to the special, fans will be able to collect new LEGO® Star Wars™ sets inspired by the story. Among them is the Force Burner Snowspeeder™, making its debut in Pieces of the Past, and the Dark Falcon, which was first introduced during the original Rebuild the Galaxy special.
With its mix of nostalgia, new lore, and a star-studded voice cast, LEGO® Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past promises to deliver another unforgettable adventure when it arrives on Disney+ September 19.
