Hot off the oven – NBCUniversal’s “Law & Order” Dun Dun Diner is serving up the most delicious fun in New York City right now.
This weekend in Manhattan the limited-run, diner-inspired experience is officially open at Rockefeller Center. The event kicked off with a surprise appearance from Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay, who helped hand out coffee at the counter and took photos with staff and guests.

Fans who have been lucky to snag a coveted reservation this weekend got to visit the amazing activation. Here you receive the exclusive treat free of charge– a sweet salute to a show that’s as much a part of New York comfort rituals as the first cup of coffee. For those unable to attend, the cookie will be available for a limited time at Milk Bar locations across NYC and Los Angeles from October 6-12, and on Uber Eats.
The Law & Order universe has been a fixture of New York City’s cultural landscape since 1990, its success due in large part to exceptional storytelling, engaging characters and the familiar comfort audiences have found within every episode — a comfort imbued at the “Dun Dun Diner.” This new experience, modeled after the quintessential NYC hangout for hard-working detectives, is letting fans step inside and feel like part of the Elite Squad. Upon entering, fans have the chance to indulge in diner favorite dishes including coffee, french toast sticks, egg bites and a parfait, snag limited-edition squad merchandise, and surround themselves within interactive moments and imagery that call back to Law & Order’s heroes, guest stars, and decades worth of cases, leads and clues.
In addition, the diner collaborated with Dinner Service NY to create a limited capsule collection including a diner-inspired ringer tee and socks bundle (MSRP $60) and a navy-blue quarter-zip sweatshirt (MSRP $108) that nods to the quiet authority of your favorite detectives. Pieces will be available on-site at the Dun Dun Diner and online at https://dinnerserviceny.com/ while supplies last – a uniform for those who know the city, and the stories, inside and out.
Reservations for the Law & Order “Dun Dun Diner” were free and available to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis via Tock and sold out in minutes. The “Dun Dun Diner” follows the highly successful transformation of 30 Rockefeller Plaza into “Olivia Benson Plaza” and the Law & Order Station in Boston in 2024. The experiences were created by NBCUniversal in collaboration with NVE Experience Agency.
