In Los Angeles, the whole town comes alive for Oscars weekend aka Hollywood’s biggest weekend… whether or not you’re a movie star invited to the actual award show itself.

Angelenos were out in full force to celebrate award show season with an Oscars Pre-Party held at Elevate Lounge in Downtown LA (connected to Takami Sushi). The event was sponsored by LA Today, Casa Del Sol, and Dr Juventas, along with Cookie and Candy Pop Popcorn.

Guests enjoyed getting into the action with a red carpet arrival, movie-themed decorations like a Barbie photo box, and danced to the beats by live guests DJ’s. Signature themed drinks included the Atomic Martini (Casa Del Sol Reposado mixed with Expresso and Creme), the Malibu Barbie Margarita (Casa Del Sol Blanco, Lime Juice, and Agave), and the Golden Paloma (Casa Del Sol Blanco, Lime and Grapefruit Juice, and Soda). Snack-sized bags of Candy Pop Popcorn were also scattered around tables at the nightclub for guests who wanted some yummy munchies.
