Today’s consumer is always looking for the next hottest new sound in music. Meet alxxa, today, the LA-based electro-pop songstress, has dropped her debut EP, ‘Body,’ available everywhere.

The four-song EP includes two previously released singles “Icy Love” and “Body” as well as two new songs, “Swerve” and “Burn To Dust.” Featured in the recent issues of Nylon and C-Heads, alxxa’s debut is a reference to the future of Pop music. ‘Body’ displays a prime example of what all the fuss is about when it comes to alxxa. The dance-ready project is exciting, impactful, and personal.

“This EP is about moving on from a relationship,” alxxa explains. “It kind of covers all the stages: grief, denial, anger, acceptance… with a fair bit of sass sprinkled in. “Swerve” has a sassy, angry spunk to it; we all HATE it when someone twists our words into something we didn’t mean. “Burn to Dust” is a very emotional song for me, covering that low point during a break up. There is this moment when a relationship is ending where you truly manipulate yourself into the irrational fear that you cannot possibly live without the other person… the mind is a really powerful thing. “Icy Love” is getting towards acceptance, recognizing you deserve better than the shitty love you have been receiving from this person. Finally, “Body” means, well, you are ready to get it on again.”

alxxa is an act that everyone will fall in love with. Catering to every genre of music, alxxa has crafted a intriguing body of work that is enjoyable from beginning to end. Stream her debut EP, ‘Body’ below, courtesy of Soundcloud.
