From animated projects to ABC Networks shows, Jake. T. Austin has done it all. He has appeared in movies like ‘New Years Eve’ and was even the voice of Diego in ‘Go Diego Go’. As a child actor, he grew up in the world of show business and landed the role of Max on Disney Channel’s iconic ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’.

Looking back at his career, he has no regrets, “I did most of my education on sets, there would be a room that looked exactly like a classroom and child actors would be there with other tutors.” Of course, most of us are not as familiar with the industry as Austin. “I didn’t really get a chance to go to Prom but for example, I was fortunate enough to be nominated for a Teen Choice Award at the time!”. If we had to choose between Prom and the Teen Choice Awards—I think most of us would choose the latter.

Having had such a high profile career, Austin has grown up in the spotlight and attended numerous red carpets. The Knockturnal got the chance to talk catch up with Austin and discuss his personal style. In the interview, we discuss how he gets ready for such events, his style icons (spoiler alert: it’s his grandma!), and his staple fashion item. “For daily, I am definitely a jeans and a t-shirt guy… it’s always sunny in LA year-round so you can’t really argue with that!,” said Austin, “I like to keep things clean and fitted all the time and keep things simple.”
A native New Yorker, Austin relocated and is now spending his time in Los Angeles. As we discuss Summer Nights in LA, Austin was photographed by The Knockturnal in his home of Los Angeles.
