We tried out the KKW approved Nexus Emergencée Treatment at the Nexxus Salon in Tribeca.
Kim Kardashian made headlines again this NYFW when she debuted her platinum blond locks on her website earlier this month. Not long after, the debate of whether it was a wig or indeed her hair started on social media. Making a shift to Platinum Blond called for some R&R and Kim turned to none other than the Nexxus Salon in Tribeca to keep her new hair healthy. Kim picked up the Nexxus Emergencée Treatment for Damaged Hair earlier last week, prompting the question, “What is it?”
After looking up the super affordable and easy to use treatment online, I decided to try it out in person at the Nexxus Salon. My stylist first started out by washing my hair with the gentle Nexxus Emergencée Shampoo. She then applied the Treatment to my hair, focusing on the middle and ends as one would with conditioner. The Treatment was then left in for a few minutes while steam was applied, allowing my hair to easily soak up the Marine Collagen and concentrated quantities of Elastin Proteins that are the key ingredients of the Treatment. She then followed up again with shampoo and conditioner.
I saw results immediately. After a summer of ignoring all common sense and avoiding heat protectors and sun hats, my hair felt rejuvenated. It was super soft and strong, showing very little breakage even days after the Treatment was applied. My hair felt buoyant, a natural result from the Treatment which works by infusing proteins to reinforce the hair cuticle, strengthening and repairing it in the process.
My stylist, Emely then gave me a fantastic blowout using products from the Nexxus line. Disclaimer: they smell amazing and you will want all of them. I especially loved the Nexxus Dry Shampoo Refreshing Mist (has hints of Jasmine and Water Lily) and the Nexxus Comb Thru Volume Finishing Mist (has hints of Rose and Jasmine.) She completed the look with the Nexxus City Shield DD Crème, a part of the new City Shield Collection.
As with all good things, use sparingly. The Treatment can be used once a week. For best results use it along with the Nexxus Emergencée Shampoo and Conditioner. It’s super easy to use and can be done at home. It’s perfect for hair that has had either heat or color damage.
