The annual Kentucky Derby party at TSquared Social Club was an epic bash full of thrilling moments.
Sovereignty won the Run for the Roses at 7-1 odds as Bill Mott etched his name in history during the most exciting two minutes in sports. Hundreds gathered in Midtown to see the race and enjoy the alluring venue space.
The starry day had guests including Stacey Bendet, Councilman Erik Bottcher, Frederik Anderson, Stephen Mikhail, Anne-Dexter Jones, Mariah Strongin, Gabrielle Kniery, Leckie Roberts, Lara Meiland-Shaw, Joosica, Anna Rothschild, Lisa Benson, Philip Bloch, Timo Weiland, David Kirsch, Alex and Keytt Lundqvist, along with hosts Scott Buccheit and Naeem Delbridge, who all came for the moment in sports history and to celebrate another special event.
Gillian Hearst’s birthday bash took place at the same time in the VIP section. The party was thrown in partnership with Alice and Olivia and featured lots of delicious food, fun, and at least four different versions of mint juleps.
The winner of the Kentucky Derby took home a $5 million pot. Ridden by Junior Alvarado, Sovereignty covered the 1 1/4 miles on a sloppy track in 2:02.31 and paid $17.96 on a $2 win wager. Bets were high, and winners proudly walked away with a massive prize as big and beautiful as the Churchill spires.
