Atlantic Records artist Justine Skye threw an amazing listening event last night at New York City night club Up and Down. Her debut album “Emotionally Unavailable” hit stores Tuesday and some of New York’s most influential fashionistas, bloggers and music aficionados were in attendance. Skye’s good friends Jaden Smith and Hailey Baldwin were spotted on the dance floor.
This event was surely a highlight for Skye. The anticipated album has been in the spotlight due to tracks like “I’m Yours” featuring Vic Mensa and the smash hit “Bandit” which has been in heavy rotation. Dozens of magazine outlets have declared “Bandit” as Skye’s breakout song. This album is moody, hip, fresh, and sleek. We all know Justine Skye can sing, but with this album she was able to blend a little bit of her roots with her style and personality.
Justine Skye is set to appear at this weekend’s BET Experience 2015 followed by the BET Awards 2015 as a correspondent. She will also appear on Revolt Live this week to perform her hits “I’m Yours” with Vic Mensa and of course “Bandit.”
Stepping on the scene at an early age, Justine Skye took the world by storm through the social media site Tumblr. She showcased her amazing style, sense of personality and unique voice. Another noteworthy track from the songstress is “Collide,” which was released last year and features Tyga. That track has nearly 2 million views on her Youtube channel.
As she continues to climb the ladder of stardom, there is no doubt that Justine Skye will be a major force to be reckoned with in music.
