As if we needed a reminder that we are getting older, Josh Peck reflected on how holiday celebrations have become a big deal since he became a father.
However, in his new role as Jimmy Dean’s Chief Hosting Officer, Peck is able to share his tips for making holiday hosting a breeze.
If you are a child of the early 2000s, like me, you remember Josh Peck from his Nickelodeon days, playing Josh Nichols on Drake and Josh. Now, he is a father of two and embarking on an exciting partnership with Jimmy Dean to help people take the stress out of their holiday cooking.
He is now the brand’s Chief Hosting Officer and will be the face of Jimmy Dean’s “Officially Sponsored Host” Program. This is an exciting contest in which the breakfast and sausage brand is sponsoring the holiday parties of 10 lucky consumers.
I asked Peck what excited him the most about this new opportunity and how it resonated with his lifestyle as a father.
“I think the holidays in general can be stressful and intimidating. And now that I have two kids of my own, I’m truly enjoying the holidays and going through all the ups and downs that it has to offer,” said Peck.
“And so it felt uniquely natural for this sponsorship and this partnership to happen with Jimmy Dean because I think they were looking for a way in which to alleviate some of the stress that comes with the holidays,” said Peck.
Josh Peck also shared his go-to holiday food staples including one that incorporates Jimmy Dean’s famous sausage.
“I have two things. I really enjoy doing like a mac and cheese and you can throw some Jimmy Dean in there and make a Jimmy Dean mac and cheese, which is kind of insane, Peck said.
“You get a nice texture hit. I like green bean casserole…but I find if you put a little TLC into it and you don’t go right for the fried onions in the can and instead do a fresh onion fry, you can really elevate the dish,” said Peck.
To enter the contest, Jimmy Dean fans have until December 6, to visit JimmyDeanHosts.com for a chance to win one of 10 prize packages that includes an extravagant dinner party kit, along with $1,000 to cover any additional expenses.
