On Wednesday, August 8th, renowned designer John Varvatos, and singer/actor Nick Jonas celebrated the launch for their new fragrance collaboration under their JVxNJ label.
The men’s cologne was unveiled to an exclusive guest list at Mission Nightclub in New York City, and the event combined fashion collectives, with drinks, music, and an eclectic vibe, complete with a high-fashion video booth for attendees to strut their best looks and promote the fragrance.
25-year-old Jonas took the stage with good friend John Varvatos to thank guests for their support. He spoke about the inspiration behind the fragrance and credited his late grandfather for the creation.
“His scent used to enter the room before he did,” Jonas shared. “I’m hoping that this fragrance that we created could become the kind of thing that becomes a part of people’s lives, who they are, and shows a little bit about their personality and about who they want to be and who they strive to be.”
The scent hints of mandarin, lavender, and sandalwood, capturing upbeat nightlife. The bottle is packaged in a midnight-blue flask, with an attached JVxNJ dog-tag.
Guests were also treated to Nick Jonas’s vocals when the singer made it known that John Varvatos would be celebrating a birthday the same day. He tempted the crowd to serenade Varvatos and to sing Happy Birthday along with him.
Nick’s brother, singer Joe Jonas, was also there in support. Models Jordun Love, Jessica Clements, and Afiya Bennett were among the industry insiders also in attendance.
