Last Thursday every hip New Yorker gathered for Jozif Badmon’s album release party.
The party was held at Milk Studios and nearly every “insta-famous” New Yorker was present, from Cinematic Music Group’s own Vashtie to Odalys, Rbatzz, Maria Beltre, Troi Irons, Wolftyla, Squidnice and many more. Even The Get Down’s Herizen Guardiola made an appearance. There were complimentary cocktails, a beautiful projection of Joey BadA$$’s name in the colors of the American flag, as well as a photo opp area featuring the actual car pictured on the album cover.
Joey took the stage around 11 and thanked the fans for all their support. Joey kept citing his fans as his inspiration and motivation as the night went on and even brought out his first gold plaque from the “Devastated” single which he said could not have been possible without the endless support. Jozif kicked off his performance with “GOOD MORNING AMERIKKKA” and went on to play “Devastated,” “Land of The Free” and many more tracks. Joey’s one wish was that his message be spread worldwide because as he so earnestly pointed out, “at the end of the end I’m just a kid from Brooklyn trying to rap.”
If you haven’t taken the time to listen to “All-Amerikkkan Badass” then drop what you’re doing and don’t waste anymore time. Only slightly kidding. “All-Amerikkkan Badass” is a true testament to Joey’s growth as an artist. An album far more politically charged than his previous works, “All-Amerikkkan Badass” paints an American portrait with Joey as the artist and voice of the marginalized. You can stream the album on Spotify and Apple Music and check out the track list and features below.
