Two weeks after the new year, brother-sister duo Jocelyn and Chris Arndt stunned crowds at the Standard Hotel East in celebration of their new upcoming album.ย
Upon arriving at the hotel, visitors were greeted by a bubbly security guard who swiped up and full elevator of excited music lovers to the Penthouse apartment.ย When the elevator doors opened, the interior was minimal and white, with floor to ceiling windows to take in the cityscape.
It wasnโt until later in the night that Jocelyn and Chris took the stage. Jocelyn with her kind and animated presence seemed complimentary to her younger brother Chrisโs silent and chill vibe. They didnโt waste any time as they delved into their set list beginning with their most recent single release earlier this month, โBe That As It May.โ Jocelynโs powerful and soulful voice and Chrisโs retro guitar was reminiscent of 1960โs rockโnโroll. They continued with their other popular songs: โOutta My Head,โ โRed Stops Traffic,โ “Where’s the Rain,” โShame,โ โFootprints on the Moon,โ and โJagged.โ They even shared their motherโs favorite song of theirs, โBad Business,โ a heartbreaking ballad and cautionary tale of heartache. Based on their performance, we eagerly await the drop of their next album.
The evening was presented byย Annie O Music Series.
