IPIC Theater Unveils Their Keto Friendly Menu

Tastes so good you’ll forget it’s a diet

This past Wednesday, IPIC Theater unveiled their newest Keto diet menu, and we got an exclusive taste into the new food items being offered.  What is great about this new menu, which will be served in all IPIC theaters nationwide, is that it offers Keto friendly appetizers, cocktails, and DESSERTS!  Really, who would’ve thought that desserts could be incorporated into a Keto diet.

Let’s talk about the cocktails first.  IPIC Theater offers three new cocktails which are the Anti-Rita, the Fresh Keto, and the Strawberry, Basil Delight.  The Anti-Rita is like a simple margarita but it’s made with Casamigos Blanco, Keto Simple Syrup, and Lemonade Sparkling Ice Soda.  This drink was light and refreshing for sure and is a great way to start off a meal.  The Fresh Keto is made with Malibu Rum, Grapefruit, and lemon juice.  This drink is on the brighter and tarter side of drinks.  But don’t get me wrong, it finishes smooth and doesn’t dry out your palette like you would get in most other grapefruit based cocktails. But, my favorite out of the three would be the Strawberry Basil Delight which is made out of Tito’s Vodka, basil, strawberry, and kiwi sparkling ice soda.  The taste is incredibly refreshing and actually not too sweet where it hurts your teeth.  There is a great balance in this drink where the strawberry flavor is very apparent and plays well with the freshness of the basil.  And this is definitely a perfect spring/summer drink with it being so light and refreshing.

One of our favorite appetizers that was served was the buttermilk fried chicken.  And the way that they make this otherwise unhealthy dish healthy is by making it with almond flour, Parmesan, paprika, cayenne, garlic and onion powder, and sriracha ranch.  The chicken was so moist and packed with flavor from the spice combination they used, but wasn’t greasy or oily in the way that most traditional fried chicken is served.  Our other favorite appetizer was the Angus Burger Lettuce Cups.  This is made with Bibb lettuce, Applewood smoked bacon, sharp cheddar, tomato, and their ‘Not-So-Secret’ Sauce.  With this dish, you don’t miss the bread.  This burger has every component of a good burger and is served in a lettuce cup which was also very cool.  The burger itself was cooked so well and so juicy and without the bread, it didn’t feel as heavy as other burgers tend to make people feel.  It was like, you knew it was healthier, but it didn’t sacrifice any of the flavor which was really cool.

And lastly, the desserts.  I think the hands down favorite dessert was the mini whoopie pie.  It was made with a double chocolate chip cookies, swerve, and a mascarpone cream cheese filling.  It was so chocolatey but not overly sweet which was a great touch.  Anything with chocolate in the dessert makes me happy but this whoopie pie was different in the fact that it had more of the darker, bitter chocolate in it and the cream cheese filling pulled the weight in the sweetness.  This is definitely something that needs to be tried.

This Keto menu is available nationwide at all IPIC theaters.  If you ever want to watch a movie and snack on some delicious Keto treats, this is the place to go.
