After revealing the line up for the Electric Daisy Carnival in New York earlier this year, American tour promoter Insomniac Events has released the official trailer for the world-famous music festival.
The trailer opens with the main character undergoing an vision exam in a doctor’s office, and it becomes obvious the only letters she is able to see are E-D-C-N-Y. As the puzzled optometrist takes a closer look at her patient, the irises of her eye pulsate between colors and flash electric blue as Eric Prydz’ famous track “Opus” crescendos into a montage of past EDC festivals. At the end of the trailer, the optometrist diagnoses her patient with a case of the “EDC’s,” quipping, “We see a lot of these cases this time of year.”
EDC New York will be taking place at Citi Field in Queens, NY instead of Metlife Stadium, where it has been held for the past few years. The festival will take place May 14th-15th, with two-day general admission passes currently running for $229 plus service fees.
