Celebrating 20ish years and counting
Last week, Ilegal Mezcal hosted its legendary Bar Ilegal tour celebrating the 20(ish) years of Café No Sé. The event was hosted at Public Records in Brooklyn, New York and brought together fans of the #1 mezcal in the world. This pop-up party transformed the space into a recreation of the iconic Café No Sé and let guests of the event celebrate with signature Ilegal craft cocktails. Guests were also able to participate in a t-shirt making station, a mezcal tasting station, and even get an Ilegal Mezcal themed tattoo from New York based tattoo artists.
As guests continued to enjoy their cocktails and participate in some of these swag station, Ilegal Mezcal set up a section for the female-led rock and roll band SUSU to perform. At each and every tour location, SUSU has performed an incredible and captivating performance, with New York City being no different. SUSU and Ilegal Mezcal are longtime creative partners, working together to cultivate community and revelry. The band’s performances at Bar Ilegal served as an exploration of empowerment and activation of community.
After SUSU’s performance ended, guests were invited to the speakeasy section of Public Records to enjoy a little night cap experience.
