The exhibition, organized by The Finnish American Chamber of Commerce and Finnish Tech, Design and Art, a non-profit organization that promotes Finnish creativity in all of its forms in the US, kicked off with a cocktail party celebrating Finland’s 100th birthday. Music was provided by DJ Ronny Rex and pop musician GEA, who gave an ethereal performance that ended with her walking through the crowd while still singing! We spoke with her after the show, and she let us know what inspired her: the magical weather and climate of Finland of course! We enjoyed Koskenkorva drinks and hor d’oeuvres from Finlandia Cheese as we checked out the media and visual art displays by Oases from HEL, award-winning interior designer, Susanna Sivonen, and bold scanographer, Kira Leskinen.
