On April 20, 2022, famed pop culture day 4.20, was celebrated at Hotel Ziggy in the form of an afternoon pool party for the cannabis-focused holiday, in partnership with LA Weekly to commemorate their 4.20 issue.
The new Sunset Strip hotel which debuted with a grand opening blowout event on April 5th, 2022, was designed as a tribute to the legendary rock era of the Sunset Strip, paying homage to artists of the 60s, 70s and 80s, complete with psychedelic murals, music memorabilia, and an aesthetic lending itself to a party atmosphere.
Leading cannabis cultivator Lumpy’s Flowers, a Sacramento based brand, partnered with LA Weekly on the bash at Hotel Ziggy, which featured a hot taco stand, tarot card reader and a sea of brightly colored pool floats. The bash was set to the music of DJ AK Sports, a guest DJ set by rocker Alex Carapetis of the band Nine Inch Nails, and DJ Pookie.
Guests inclusive of influencers, VIPS, and entertainment industry mingled in the sun, sipped on Caliwater refreshing and hydrating cactus water beverages in flavors Wild Prickly Pear and Ginger & Lime, and enjoyed the featured ‘Mexicali’ specialty JAJA Tequila & Caliwater cocktail.
The party featured chill vibes, reflective of the new Hotel Ziggy aesthetic, the perfect kick off to their summer pool party season at the new hotspot hotel on The Strip in West Hollywood.
