Cinemoi’s 4th annual CineFashion Film Awards took place last night at Hollywood’s famous El Capitan theater and the stars were dressed to impress!
Sequins, headpieces, and skin was a reoccurring theme of the night! Usually, the women steal the show but the men weren’t holding back when it came to risk-taking and bold outfits last night. One of my favorite looks was worn by America’s Next Top Model contestant, Ava Capra. She wore a burgundy ballroom gown adorned with sequin embellishments along the top and matched with stunning accessories, designed by Adolfo Sanchez. The guest list included some of your favorite celebrities varying from Akon to Carmen Electra to Melanie Griffith. Adrienne Bailon, Julissa Bermudez, Tara Reid and so many others came out to support the award show executive produced by Daphna Edwards Ziman.
The CineFashion Film Awards (CFFA) honors the best fashion in films as well as the creators of these extraordinary works of art. This year’s 2017 CineFashion Film Awards paid homage to the Ziegfeld Follies with a tribute performance of the 1907-1930s Ziegfeld Follies and Fred Astaire by American stage and movie actor, Obba Babatunde. The evening highlighted and honored fashion films, fashion, film icons and individuals who inspire the electricity of the industry. This year Cinemoi celebrated and awarded icons such as Donna Karan (Designer Icon Award) , Dionne Warwick (American Music Icon) and Forest Whitaker (Peace Icon Award).
The night was not only about fashion and film it was also about supporting a great cause! The event benefited the non-profit organization, “Children Uniting Nations,” which was started 20 years ago by Daphna Ziman to offer academic and community based mentoring to at risk foster youth.
The 2017 CineFashion Film Awards was a memorable and magnanimous event that supported a great cause while celebrating Hollywood’s most iconic and creative talents!
