On September 29th, the iconic Spanish magazine, ¡Hola! Hosted an exclusive event to celebrate their new American version: Hola! USA. The party was held at another Spanish emblem, the Porcelanosa flagship in Flatiron.
The venue was prepared to show the city of New York, the magnitude that is ¡Hola! The building where Porcelanosa is located, had red lights covering all of its facade with the Hola! Logo in the center, along with the tag line: Made in the USA #HolaUSA. It is no coincidence that ¡Hola! has chosen the color red to represent the brand, since red is the symbolic color of Spain. By having the whole building covered in a flame scarlet red tone, it showed that the Spanish content giant with over 30 international editions, is ready to make its mark in the United States.
They picked out the perfect co-hosts to represent their new venture, Hilaria and Alec Baldwin. They represent both the US and Spanish culture, and the beautiful blend of the two. Hilaria is from Majorca, Spain, and now lives in New York City with husband Alec Baldwin and children. The two of them were joined by Miguel Angel Silvestre the actor from Velvet, Don Lemon, host of CNN Tonight, actress Eglantina Zingg, and influential leaders of the Latino community.
With Spanish delicacies traveling around the space, guests sampled the best that Spain has to offer. Pan con tomate, queso manchego, jamon serrano, and delicious croquetas prepped everyone for the exciting performance by Puerto Rican Brooklyn-based band, Buscabulla.
At the end of the event, guests were able to see the first Hola! USA issue featuring Eva Longoria and Victoria Beckham in the cover, with fashion related stories throughout the magazine. The Hola! US website is now up and the printed issues are available for purchase.
