Hundreds of fans lined up outside Microsoft’s flagship Fifth Avenue store on Monday night for a chance to be among the very first to play Halo 5: Guardians, the long-awaited next chapter in the blockbuster Xbox video game series. Those with the patience to line up were rewarded with food, gifts, and prize giveaways, the opportunity to have their copies of the game signed by the developers, and photo opportunities with Halo characters. The launch festivities in New York were filmed and streamed live along with launch events in major cities all over the world as part of a six-hour launch broadcast on the YouTube Gaming Channel.
