Google recently organized a mingle and jingle event in New York City to showcase some of their latest trends, tips, and tools that can come in handy during the holiday season.
For years, Google has been a go-to source for millions of people when it comes to internet searches, navigation, emails, office work, video sharing, photo storage, cloud storage, mobile operating systems, and much more. As the company expands, its efforts have revolutionized the way people receive and disseminate information on a daily basis. During the event, Google unveiled some exciting products and systems that will be launched in the coming weeks. These include the Holiday helpfulness and Thanksgiving traffic insights from Google Maps, as well as Thanksgiving trends and tips from Google Search and Bard. Keeping the holidays in mind, it’s great to know that Google has been actively developing tools to help us all have a more enjoyable and stress-free holiday season.
Google has collaborated with the US Black Chambers, Inc. to introduce a new concept called Black-owned Friday, which aims to encourage consumers to shop with their values and support black-owned businesses this holiday season. To turn this concept into a reality, Google partnered with Keke Palmer, a multi-talented artist and entrepreneur, to create a film that transforms Black Friday into an interactive shoppable experience. The film features a remixed version of the iconic 90s hit “100% Pure Love” rebranded as “Black-Owned Friday (100% Supporting)”, sung by Crystal Waters, and directed by Andre Muir. It showcases 12 Black-owned businesses, 25 Black-owned brands, and more than 50 individual products from across the country.
This holiday season, Google is introducing new generative AI features to make gifting and shopping easier. One of these features is the Trending Holiday 100, which helps you find the best deals and more through Google Shopping. In addition, Google is also bringing back the beloved annual holiday features, such as the Santa Tracker, to add to the festive spirit.
