Deemed as 0ne of Spotify’s ‘Artists to Watch in 2017’, Golden Features has been racking up a serious following since entering the scene in 2014. Following the footsteps of some of electronic music’s most iconic names – Daft Punk, Deadmau5, and Malaa – the Sydney based producer rose to fame behind a mask, using the element of mystery to his advantage. Unlike a couple of his predecessors, however, Golden Features – otherwise known as Tom Pell – didn’t put off revealing his true identity once he gained his rightful place in the spotlight. In 2014, Pell’s 4 track EP garnered support from leading DJs around the world, including the likes of Porter Robinson. It’s easy to see how the leading track, “Tell Me” featuring ures & Nicole Millar, was triple j’s 25th most played song of that year. Pell’s mysterious persona spills into his productions, and masterfully captures the listener in its dark, yet soothing, embrace.
After embarking on a major North American tour with the universally loved Alison Wonderland, Golden Features has decided to go solo across the country and Canada for a 7-date headline tour. The ‘Wolfie Tour‘, named after his most recent 2016 2-track release, will kick off on February 15th in D.C and stretch until the 25th in San Francisco. The full tour schedule can be found below:
With a myriad of new productions under his belt and “Wolfie” being one of Triple J’s most played tracks of the quarter, this will definitely be a show worth heading out for. You can purchase tickets here.
