GayLetter Magazine executed an evening of fine dining and finer conversation in NYC on June 3 to kick off Pride month. In partnership with Romer Hell’s Kitchen and Two Fruits canned cocktails, the publication took over the hotels corner store and speak easy, So & So’s Neighborhood Piano Bar.
Recalling come out stories and pondering ways for queer people to radicalize, the evening went as smoothly as the live pianist setting the mood. Guests mixed and mingled over the latest GayLetter, Pride based prompts and dinner; including the newest addition to the So & So menu, “She’s the Dog”: a corn topped mini hot dog to be served all month long and from a happy hour Hot Dog truck on June 25. $2 from each purchase will be donated to Hell’s Kitchen’s non profit partner, The Center.

In addition to the flavorful bite that’s the perfect twist to a New York classic, Two Fruits used the evening as an opportunity to unveil their latest concoction; a take on a classic cocktail using their Supergay Vodka that’s distilled in Hudson Valley. Think: the perfect pick me up!
As for GayLetter, Issue 22 shines a light on artist duo and partners Pierre et Gilles who pose on the cover photographed by Daniel Trese. Known for their distinctive art style that effortlessly blends photography with hand paintings, the pair grace the cover in honor of their continuous rise as work and romantic partners from 1970s punk artists who collaborated with Thierry Mugler, Jean Paul Gautier and more.

An ode to art, love and self expression; GayLetter is definitely a must have during Pride month. For the entire month of June, guests can experience the publication’s past and present issues at Romer Hell’s Kitchen.
