This past week, Future took to Twitter to make accusations against Ciara, saying she was wrongly keeping him from BabyFuture (and yes the child’s name is Future).
He came out calling Ciara a “b*tch” with “control problems” along with throwing shade on her for having to pay 15k a month in Child Support. Unfortunately, it’s not a surprise to see rappers deal with ‘baby mama drama’, but in today’s age these beefs get aired out on Twitter for the world to see. Future also claimed that in response to Ciara’s behavior, he would be dropping a classic record.
What I find interesting is how fans reacted on Twitter as well as Hip Hop forums. Future had a handful of fans siding with him and calling Ciara a “b*tch” as well as throwing in rather misogynistic comments.

For better or for worse, their relationship’s wounds have been made public and it’s bound to receive this kind of response. That being said, it’s important to remember tweets and interviews are only a small snapshot, and do not capture the full truth of what’s going on between Future and Ciara.

However, it’s hard not to feel some type of way about Future complaining about paying 15k when he reportedly pulls in 150k for a 45 minute set. Being forced to pay child support is not (as some fans have stated) some oppression against men, rather insurance a child gets the sort of lifestyle they would’ve had if the father had been around. At the end of the day though, despite them making this public of their own accord (or Future’s at least) it’s not in the place of the public to judge.
