The first trailer for action movie “Allegiant” is now out and gives the first taste of epic visuals and intense storytelling for the fans.

This is the third installment in the “Divergent” movie franchise, which is all based on the popular novels by Veronica Roth. The third movie takes after the final book in the series, but the movie will be spilt into two parts. The movie is set to be in theaters and IMAX March 18th of this year and the trailer provides just a little taste to show audiences the adventure that’s in store.

The entire series centers around main character Tris, played by Shailene Woodley, who finds herself escaping to the outside of Chicago. Following from the adventures of the previous movie “Insurgent” and finds Tris and Four, played by Theo James, leaving everything they know to go outside the walls only to find a battle larger than the one they’ve been fighting. The trailer features broad and sweeping visuals of new territories and potential emotional moments for the main characters. Directed by Robert Schwentke, the first half of the final movie of the franchise sees a large star cast and heavy-duty science fiction. Although the first half will most likely focus on the characters emotional arc and setting up for the battle that may happen in the second half, and the trailer shows some action and explosions but provides a vague look at the internal turmoil of the characters. The trailer is mysterious about the plot but sets the tone for the ambiance of what’s beyond the wall.

Here’s a look at Divergent series franchise’s “Allegiant”.
