With The Cultivist, Marlies Verhoeven and Daisy Peat hope to reach out to a much broader and diverse audience of art lovers.On Friday, The Cultivist and its artist ambassadors hosted an intimate luncheon at The Setai for its members. The event marked The Cultivist’s first annual artist lunch to take place during Art Basel Miami Beach 2015. The lunch provided an opportunity for Cultivist members to take a break from the hectic environment of Miami Art Week and enjoy a peaceful meal on the beach.
As Marlies Verhoeven, The Cultivist CEO and founder, said,”It was great to finally enjoy a relaxing moment away from the commercial activities of the week to celebrate some of the incredible artists that are part of our membership.”

The Cultivist prepared an exclusive week-long program of events for its members to experience during Art Basel Miami. Highlights ranged from a tour with artists Isaac Julien and Daniel Arsham of their new exhibitions at the Young Arts Center, to a private walk through of the Margulies Collection led by the collector Marty Margulies himself and a breakfast and tour before opening hours of Design/Miami with Rodman Primack, Executive Director of the fair, and Yves Behar, award-winning industrial designer.
