Last Thursday night, Screamfest Horror Film Festival concluded its 2019 run with awards, margaritas and of course a few things going bump in the night.
The films finished off with a screening of “We Sumon the Darkness” a darkly comedic cult centered film starring Alexandra Daddario, Keean Johnson, Johnny Knoxville, Logan Miller, Maddie Hasson, Amy Forsyth, and Austin Swift. Afterward writer Alan Treeza, joined several from the cast for a Q&A, indulging all the audience questions from how to produce a quality film on a shoestring budget to exactly how to turn one of your actresses dropping a medicine ball on her face into a happy accident.
The night was far from over, after leaving the theatre, filmmakers and other horror enthusiasts hit the after-party at Cabo Wabo Cantina Hollywood & Highland Center. After a night of margaritas, mingling, and music (all the karaoke renditions you didn’t know you needed), Sean Decker and Sarah Nicklin hosted the closing ceremonies. Bigger winners of the night included “Eat, Brains, Love” and “The Wave”.
