Hope. This trailer will provide hope for the people who may have been on the fence about seeing the Caped Crusader going up against The Dark Knight.
Warner Bros. has released the final trailer for Batman vs. Superman, and finally, at least to me, it looks like a movie that’s worth watching. For the first couple of trailers, there were bits and pieces that looked good but something about the tone being conveyed in the trailers always felt off. But finally, Warners Bros. hit the mark on this last one in a lot of ways. Director Zack Snyder will always deliver in the action department but his biggest criticism will always be if he can provide a good story.
With this trailer…well we still don’t know about the latter. The former though? If there’s anything that could be said about Batman vs. Superman, it’s that the action won’t disappoint. The best part about this final trailer is that we finally get to see what Ben Affleck’s version of Batman will look like in combat. I’ve gotta say…combat wise, this looks like the best Batman we’ve seen on screen. It reminds me a whole lot of the Batman: Arkham trilogy which stayed true to the character that we all know and love. Plushat last screen cap of Superman in his battle with Batman? Well, maybe there’s some hope for this film. We’ve seen what this movie will look like from Superman’s perspective; Now we get the chance to see things from the perspective of Bruce Wayne. And for the first time, I feel excited.
Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder, written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishbourne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot. Batman vs. Superman will be in theaters March 25, 2016.
