Angry Birds has always been a smash hit. Since its debut as an iPhone app that had everyone addicted to their phones, the remnants of its legacy have lingered on. This time around it has re-emerged as a sequel to its first big screen debut. ‘Angry Birds 2’ promises nothing but endless laughs and family fun. It’s not too often we’re able to take a break from adulting and fully indulge in the joys and purity of childhood bliss. It was refreshing to be transported to a younger age where life was easier and we watch this fun story unfold!
With its phenomenal cast, a smile is inevitable as your favorite stars voice the infamous birds (or pigs). The best part is the satisfaction one gets when you recognize exactly who voices which character! When we last left Bird Island, they were at odds with the pigs who had moved into their territory. Now, they’re faced with a bigger, outside threat that forces them to come together in order to survive. Zeta, the leader from Eagle Island is planning to move in on Piggy Island and Bird Island and commences a series of attacks.
Zeta (Leslie Jones) has launched ice bombs at Piggy Island and Bird Island is next. Her motive being that her own island has dropped in temperature and has become too cold for her liking. After much convincing, Red (Jason Sudeikis) agrees to team up with Leonard (Bill Hader) in order to be branded as a hero. Red had last saved the island from the pigs so he is committed and a little anxious as to how he can reinforce his leadership. They then put together a team to sneak onto Zeta’s lair and put a halt to the bombs. This rambunctious bunch is anything but prepared and their mission is almost guaranteed to end in mayhem and chaos! On their trip to Eagle Island they discover they have more in common than just their enemy.
