The Boys Of Zummer Tour 2015 kicked off their fourth show yesterday at the Nikon Theater at Jones Beach. Fans lined up for hours before the show started to do meet and greets with both Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa. As the two main attractions warmed up before hitting the stage, acts like special guest Hoodie Allen and DJ Drama tended to the crowd. The teens and parents who were in attendance enjoyed every bit of each set.
As the crowd stood idle waiting to see Wiz, he hit the stage in typical Wiz fashion. There was a jumbo screen that showed a video of Wiz doing what he loves to do the most: hanging with pretty women and smoking. He then entered from a staircase rapping “Ass Up”. From there, Wiz went on to do crowd favorites such ass “Taylor Gang,” “Black and Yellow,” and “Young, Wild and Free”. He sent everyone into a rave. Still in the beginning of his set, he then performed “Roll Up.” Suddenly a huge cloud of smoke emerged from the pit. He continued to hype up guests and went on to perform “We Them Boyz”. Closing out the show with his shirt off and most likely on another planet, Wiz performed his most recent Furious 7 single and radio banger “See You Again”.
Next up, Fall Out Boy hit the stage causing kids and parents into frenzy. The first song out of their extensive arsenal was “Sugar We’re Goin’ Down”. As Fall Out Boy continued to play, the screams from the stadium grew louder. The crowd even got a few words from guitarist Pete Wentz who hit the mic and said “F*ck letting time heal. Let’s heal right now!”. The group began to play songs such as “Irresistible”, “The Phoenix”, “A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me,” “Alone Together” and “Immortals”. Fall Out Boy even had Wiz come back out to perform the “Uma Thurman” Remix.
For one hour and thirty minutes, the legendary band played. To close out the show, they went on to perform “Centuries”, “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” and “Saturday”.
As the show came to an exciting end, fans looked more than satisfied. Hearing great radio hits and all-around crowd favorites, it’s no question that Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa put on one of the best shows of the zummer! Shout out to Pepsi for letting us be apart of it!
