It is true what they say about him, Troye is the start of a new generation of superstardom. Check out our exclusive interview where we talk about his performance at the Kids’ Day, his music, touring, and his personal life.
Q: What is it like being at this event?
I am so excited to be here. I have never done anything like this before so I am very, very excited. It’s going to be a fun day.
Q: Any performances you’re looking forward to watching?
Zara Larrson for sure. I lover her. I just met her a second ago and I geeked out a little bit.
Q: Being an openly gay member of the LGBTQ+ community, what do you feel is the significance of performing in front of this audience full of kids?
I am very excited to be performing at a sporting event. It means a lot to me. Sport has always been something that I felt fairly ostracized from I think and partly because I just didn’t have the interest, but also because I think that’s something that wasn’t for people like me, that’s something that I always thought. And so to be here and to be embraced at an event like this and to be able to perform being openly gay is very, very exciting to me, very cool and I am so excited for the athletic and sporting world to keep making strides in this right direction.
Q: So you’re going on tour soon so can you talk about that and talk about any new music that you might have in store?
I am very very excited to go on tour. It is a completely different show than the one we have just been playing. I can’t wait. And then yeah I want to start working on new music fairly soon like within the next couple of months I want to start getting out some more music.
Q: Is there anyone you would want to collaborate with in the future?
Lorde! I would love that.
Q: And you are on the most recent cover of V Magazine so can you talk about your experience shooting it and your feelings towards the cover?
It’s so cool. I went and we shot with Mario Testino and he was absolutely incredible to work with. I got to work with Taylor Hill who is the best. She was so fun and so cool. And I love the magazine, so for me it was an all-around amazing experience.

Q: And anything else coming up for you?
We have the tour coming up but after that I want to take a couple of months and get an apartment and move in.
Q: Where would you want to move?
I think LA. I I think want to go to LA.
