Comedy-drama “Younger” is premiering its final and seventh season April 15 on Paramount Plus.
The final season of Younger will beautifully wrap the series and finish the stories of the characters audiences fell in love with in 2015 when it initially premiered on TV Land. Audiences fell in love with the illustrious publishing world that surrounded Liza (Sutton Foster) and her life.
Younger has kept audiences drawn into the lives of Liza, Lauren, Josh, Maggie, and Charles and the layers and nuance within their lives. Character Lauren Heller (portrayed by Molly Bernard) is a social media wizard, free-spirited, and pansexual. One thing that makes the show special is the authentic LGBTQ+ representation and showing the characters beyond their sexuality and gender identities. For actress Molly Bernard portraying a pansexual character gave her the freedom to meet the love of her life, who so happens to be a woman.
For Bernard, she began acting at the age of six studying alongside her grandfather and later graduating from the Yale School of Drama and training at the Moscow Art Theater. Her study of theater and acting in the conservatory model well prepared her for a career on screen being able to focus on the body language, speech pattern, and psyche of Lauren.
The final season of Younger will allow audiences to say their goodbyes to the characters they have been following since 2015. The final season was filmed during the Covid-19 pandemic with the understanding that the storylines needed to be effectively wrapped to give an appropriate ending to the series. The final season will begin where season 6 left off with a pending proposal, love triangle, and will answer many of the questions that arose from the season 6 finale.
