Paramount+’s Evil will return for their third season in June and the fans are eager to see how the cliffhanger from the previous season will be resolved.
For context, Taking advantage of his newfound authority as a priest, David Acosta (Mike Colter) starts making out with Kristen Bouchard (Katja Herbers). Even more problematic is Kristen’s confession to the murder of Orson LeRoux (Darren Pettie), the probably possessed serial killer who was taunting her and threatening her children. They make out after David hears her confession and offers his penance. It was a shocking finale that left the viewers wondering how exactly this story would play out in the third season.
The trailer for Evil’s third season premiered not too long ago. Season 3 picks up right after season 2 and the trailer is packed with all the best moments from the last two seasons. It’s back to its old ways of frightening its audience with disturbing imagery, scary performances, and creative direction. Even though the trailer shows haunting shots of various demons, there is more to the story than meets the eye.
With the show’s mythology further explored and the characters confronting their own inclinations toward dark elements, Season 3 will certainly feature even more exciting cases. Especially since David Acosta is now a full fledged priest. It is going to be intriguing to see which of the characters can trust David with every piece of information that is shared with him. Whether if this will be a good path for him or not, the story is set for Evil once it premieres in June.
In this exclusive interview, we catch up with Mike Colter. We talk about the theme of this season (in which Colter described as “Temptation, fun, sexy, and misleading”) and how David Acosta will be living as a double agent in the upcoming season!
