I have zero qualms about scrolling through a stranger’s profile, checking on exes, reading tabloids, et all. If it’s available I might as well eat it up, right?
But is spying on your next door neighbor a bridge too far? I can see into my neighbor’s bathroom, but do I want to? And why don’t they have a window shade?
The Voyeurs asks if our obsession with the lives of others is ruining our own; if our vicarious lives make living less bearable.
Director Michaal Mohan helms this erotic thriller about Pippa (Sydney Sweeney) and Thomas (Justice Smith), who’ve moved into a massive New York City apartment on an optometrist assistant and scoring-erectile-dysfunction ads salary. Which, honestly? They pay you real good for stuff like that. Real talk!
It’s a fascinating, superbly addicted, shocking and VERY horny film, and, in the spirit of the title, I couldn’t take my eyes off it. The twists come hard and fast, and build to a deeply poetic climax.
This is the kind of film you watch with a loved one, then y’all do the beast with two backs, then go through each other’s phone. It will truly have you acting out and cutting up.
Massive shout out to Justice and Sydney, who feel so effortless real as a couple I thought I was dating them. You cannot convince me they haven’t at least hit a salad bar together.
Anywho, check out this movie! And close your blinds!
