We sat down with Johnny Knoxville to talk about the latest entry in the ‘Jackass’ film series, ‘Jakcass Forever’
The Jackass boys are back in town, twelve years after the release of Jackass 3D, and are ready to cause even more shenanigans that are gross, painful, and most importantly, hilarious. “The cast had been wanting to make another film since the last ‘Jackass’ film!” Knoxville stated when asked what the original cast, including Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason “Wee Man” Acuna, and Ehren Mcghehey, thought of the idea of Jackass Forever. “When I came around, everyone else was essentially on board. It’s just been a great family reunion.”
The legacy members are not alone, though. Along for the ride are newcomers such as Zach Holmes, Rachel Wolfson, Japser, and “Poopies,” who are prepared not only to take on the more painful stunts, but also carry the torch. According to Knoxville “at first there was some blowback from the older cast members about the new cast, but within the first day, everyone jelled and really got along.”
Although Knoxville has stated he will not being doing any more big stunts for the series after Forever, he intends to stay involved in Jackass, even if it means being behind the scenes. “My neurologist wants me to stay behind the camera!”, he clarified.
Jackass Forever is in theaters now!
