Both main characters and co-stars Joanne Froggatt and Samuel Adewunmi talk new series on Spectrum Originals and what to expect.
“Angela Black”, is the upcoming spectrum original series that debuts Monday, February 7th. The series is about Angela, played by Joanne Froggatt, who is a wife and mother of two beautiful sons, and to hard-working husband, Olivier. Together, they all live in a lovely home in suburban London. When not caring for her boys, and looking over the home, Angela spends most of her time working volunteer shifts at a dog shelter. A simple yet fabulous life, is faded when we learn that Angela is a victim of domestic violence. Olivier is controlling and abusive, but Angela feels torn about leaving him because she’s deeply in love and honors the fact that Olivier is the father of her children. Enduring the pain, she covers her bruises with make-up and fabricates lies to steer away suspicions. One day, Angela is approached by Ed, played by Samuel Adenumni, a private investigator, and he reveals even more damaging information about her husband. He reveals Olivier’s deepest darkest secrets, and learns that he is not the man that she married. After learning about his horrifying behaviors, Angela is forced to take matters into her own hands.
