The new “Robin Hood” is grittier than ever and is catching the attention of many in Hollywood!
The impressive cast of Robin Hood Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx, Jamie Dornan, Ben Mendelsohn, and director Otto Bathhurst hit the red carpet in New York City at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square Theater with tons of excitement and charm as they posed for pictures and spoke to correspondents from various media outlets about the upcoming movie.
Unlike previous Robin Hood movies, Director Otto Bathurst made sure to create the latest installment visually compelling but yet completely different from previous movie versions that audiences were used to seeing.
Being that Robin Hood dates back to the 14th century, it was important for Bathurst to modernize both the character and story for today’s generation of movie-goers. In the latest Robin Hood, Bathurst includes heavy topics such as: corruption, oppression, social injustice and abuse of power, which he feels can resonate with many individuals in today’s volatile politic climate. The underlying theme Bathurst wants movie buffs to take away with them is that you don’t need an iron suit or special powers to make a difference. As long as you stand up for what’s right and what you truly believe in, can help tremendously- and we all have the responsibility to do so if we want our voices to be heard!
For Taron Egerton, the heroic outlaw fighting for the greater good is relevant and ultimately is a character that we all can seemingly relate to in some way or form and Bathurst hopes it’ll resonate with a modern audience.

The action-packed film, Robin Hood is set to be released on November 21st, 2018!
