Day showcased her vocal skills this past Tuesday at the Cadillac House in efforts to raise awareness for social challenges.
Global Citizen and Cadillac have been working hand in hand to support social entrepreneurship in efforts to spark change all around the world. Andra Day joined the organization in its efforts to raise awareness for some of the world’s biggest challenges with the help of her talents. Global Citizens won free tickets to see Day perform live by completing their mission of getting in contact with French and Italian Prime Ministers to express their concerns and help the United Nations save more lives.
Right before the performance, the Global Citizen Accelerator Award was awarded to the co-founders of KinoSol, a company that is working hard to end post-harvest loss, improve global health, and create amazing entrepreneurial opportunities for subsistence farmers around the world.
Day then came onto the stage and wowed the crowd with her amazing voice. The Grammy-nominated songstress performed a medley of different songs and everyone in the audience sang along. She sang her hit single ‘Rise Up’ and her voice filled the room with everyone else swaying along. She ended the night thanking everyone for taking action with Global Citizen and encouraged everyone with her positive words.
