We love Ben Falcone and Melissa McCarthy, and we’re pretty sure they love each other almost as much. So when there’s another movie with the duo, we just could not help but find out more about it and our next obsession.
The Boss is the next film written and directed by Ben Falcone and written and starring Melissa McCarthy. Coming on April 8, 2016 by Universal Pictures, the film will follow the story of Michelle Darnell, played by McCarthy, who is sent to prison after being found guilty of insider trading. After she is released, she hopes to start afresh and make herself known as a caregiving and wonderful person, although she is haunted by the people whose money she took and must make amends.
The film will star a huge boatload of people we would love to see in a comedy like this, including Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage, Tyler Labine, Margo Martindale, Kathy Bates, Cecily Strong, Kristen Schaal, Annie Mumolo, Timothy Simons, Ella Anderson, Carrot Top, and more. With Falcone, McCarthy, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Chris Hency producing the film, we sure can bet it’s going to be laugh out loud hilarious. Filming began on March 12, 2015 in Georgia.
He’s the man. I mean, who else would go up to someone and tell them that “No one will believe you” ? Who else will crash a game of kickball on Roosevelt Island? Who else will crash SXSW and serve drinks behind the bar? Who else will crash—
Ok we get the point. Bill Murray really wanted to be in Wedding Crashers but the part went to Will Ferrell instead. But nonetheless, only Bill Murray would be in A Very Murray Christmas, a Netflix film set to release on December 4, 2015, which was written and directed by Sofia Coppola.
These are the kinds of movies that people can only dream of. The film will star a bunch of people– as themselves, with Murray playing himself as he worries that no one will show up for his Christmas party because of the snowstorm outside rampaging through New York City. Well, if the storm is anything like last year, I can tell you personally, Mr. Murray, that New Yorkers don’t care about curfews and they’ll show up nonetheless.
Anyhow, the comedy will feature George Clooney, Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Miley Cyrus, Phoenix, Michael Cera, Jason Schwartzman, Maya Rudolph, Chris Rock, Paul Shaffer, and more — all as themselves. Check out the newest trailer below, and hold your horses until December 6 rolls around.
Lionsgate has just released a new trailer to the upcoming film, Gods of Egypt, a story following a human who must save mankind by pitting the gods against each other. Directed by Alex Proyas (The Crow and Dark City) and written by Matt Sazama (The Last Witch Hunter) and Burk Sharpless (who also teamed up with Sazama to make The Last Witch Hunter), the film is set to come out on February 26, 2016.
The film will star a number of well known actors like Gerard Butler as Set, the God of Darkness who is reigning over Egypt and throwing all natural order into chaos, or Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) as Horus, a god who is by all means happy to be up for a challenge against Set. Also within the film is Brenton Thwities (The Giver) as the main character of Bek, the human who is put to the test to save the world, as well as Geoffrey Rush as Ra, Rufus Sewell as Urshu, Elodie Yung as Hather, Abbey Lee as Anat, Courtney Eaton, Chadwick Boseman, and more.
Bek and the gods must prove their strengths through a number of battles and overcoming obstacles that stand in their way, all in order to get their way and save—or destroy – the world. You can watch the trailer for the film below.

Coming out just in time for Valentine’s Day next year, How to Be Single will, well, hopefully tell us how to be single.
