Filmmakers, producers, actors, mega influencers and many more gathered this past weekend to kick off the annual New York Film Festival. The highly anticipated documentary Hamilton’s America, which follows Lin-Manuel Miranda’s creative journey that led to the creation of Hamilton the musical, premiered at the festival and we got the chance to chat with Lin-Manuel, the cast and creative team. They talked about the process of filming the documentary and the importance of the film.

HBO Latino premiered its one hour special, “Habla y Vota,” on Friday, September 16, but we were able to attend an advanced screening of the special on Thursday night. The star-studded documentary emphasizes the importance of the Latino vote through compelling and inspiring stories from Latino celebrities and personalities on how voting has affected their lives.
The panel also included stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley, who discuss the highlights and difficulties in portraying non-fictional modern characters.
