On Wednesday, October 2nd, American Express, in collaboration with Delta Air Lines, held a celebratory event in honor of the relaunching of the Delta SkyMiles American Express Cards.
The relaunch will reveal exciting new updates to the Card portfolio, aiming to suit the needs and lifestyles of a variety of travelers. The event was titled “Perfect Pairs” in a homage to the partnership between American Express and Delta Air Lines. The venue 14th Street Garage housed the celebration and was transformed into an immersive flight experience.
Present to host the night’s festivities was none other than actress Elizabeth Olsen, whose TV series Sorry For Your Loss premiered on Facebook Watch on October 1st. Olsen took guests on an interactive flight journey with the Delta SkyMiles American Express Cards.
Attendees enjoyed delicious fall-inspired signature cocktails created by Linden Pride, bartender and owner of Dante, New York City. Also there to prepare drinks for the crowd was drinking coach and mixologist Tiffanie Barriere. Tasty bites from Gabriel and Gina Stulman of Happy Cooking Hospitality were craftily paired with the drinks. An intriguing photo art display featuring perfect pairs could also be enjoyed by guests as they enjoyed the night.
Captains, flight attendants, and baggage handlers in full Delta flight attire directed guests through the experience. There was a Captain’s flight chair rigged with a camera, where guests could take the perfect Instagram action selfie. A mini luggage carousel with a rotating belt ran throughout the night, surrounded by other creative photo ops, providing unique and fun social media posting options. A line of airplane windows ran along the outer edge of the dance floor, each window displaying a different Card option. Keeping the beat for the lively night was a special set from DJ duo Coco & Breezy.
