LI-NING Company, China’s leading sportswear company and NBA All-Star Dwayne Wade, announced the release of the WAY OF WADE 4 (WoW4) collection. The season will open up with the release of three styles, Liberty, Lucky 13, and the 25^th Anniversary sneakers on October 23,2015. Following this, another 15 styles will be released between October,2015 and July,2016. This will mark the fourth year of the history-making collaboration between the two.

This unique partnership began in 2012 and has now continued to connect Wade and LI-NING. Wade’s renowned style aesthetic and approach to personal growth with LI-NING’s dedication to quality, performance, dream, inspiration and enterprise is what keeps this duo growing strong.

The collaboration, has gathered a cult fan following for it’s unique style and will debut just in time for the 2015-15 NBA season. Wade is set to wear the Lucky 13 sneaker in the opening game of the season.

“I am excited to share my new Way of Wade collection with my fans, which features unique details and color ways,” says Wade. “I am looking forward to kicking off my thirteenth NBA season wearing the Lucky 13 sneakers and sporting the rest of the collection throughout the season.”

The WoW4 series has an increased focus on performance and will be lighter than ever before. The new style’s are layered mesh and internal strap system makes for the lightest WoW style yet and an internal full-length bootie/sock ensures utmost comfort.

The new sole features an aggressively molded 3D, high-quality Carbon Fiber shank, which makes the sole resilient and strong as it is lightweight. The aesthetic inspiration comes from a triangulated fractal pattern reminiscent of lines created from zhehezi, or Chinese paper folding, and relevant across the forward-facing disruptive design elements dominating culture right now.

LI-Ning will release a total of 18 styles over the next 10 months with key dates and styles as follows:

Lucky 13, launching on Oct 28,2015:

• Lucky 13 represents Wade’s 13^th season in the NBA, and he will be wearing the shoe on opening night of the season. The design includes 13 lighting bolts on the tongue; 3 gold bolts to represent his 3 championship wins, and a grey bolt to represent his 13^th season in the NBA.

25^th Anniversary, launching on Nov 25,2015

– 25^th Anniversary sneaker pays homage to the 25^th anniversary of LI-NING, with Dwayne’s strong support for LI-NING, the two forces came together to celebrate the ‘Silver Jubilee’ milestone, reflected in the silver color way of the design.
