On July 1 the New Museum held their annual Summer White Party for museum members and their lucky plus ones.
Eight hundred guests dressed in white took over the museum and had special access to exhibitions, the museum’s 7th floor terrace, and a network of art and fashion influencers. Guests danced to the music of DJ Lily Vanilli and enjoyed special ice cream treats from Ice & Vice.
In keeping with the soiree’s Yacht Rock theme, cocktails served were Man Overboard (Milagro Silver, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, Agave Nactar, Lime Juice) and Proceed to Sea (Milagro Silver, Grapefruit Juice, Lime Juice, Agave Nectar, Grapefruit Sparkling Water). Also on hand were white wine, bottles of Evian, and Tiger Beer.
The party was downtown chic, artsy, and mostly white – a few rebellious guests opted for color.
