Over the past year Dounia’s slowly been gearing up for the release of her upcoming, debut EP slated for a fall 2017 release. The latest visual from her upcoming EP is for her single “Shyne.” Dounia utilizes her full range of talents by directing, styling, and editing the video herself.
“Shyne” gives viewers a glimpse into Dounia’s life, from friends to family to her daily grind.
The home-grow visuals beautifully complement Dounia’s unapologetic and authentic voice. Dounia’s vocals truly “Shyne” and are at the forefront of the video. There are no gimmicks, just substance with Dounia, which is what’s helped her gain such a fiercely loyal fan base on social media.
In “Shyne,” Dounia discusses her hopes and desires of achieving success, overcoming negativity in her past and trying to make her mother proud. Dounia’s fun-loving attitude and affinity for “keeping it 100” are what draw you in, but her talent and relatable lyrics are what make you stay.
