The K-pop sensation girl group TWICE is shining brighter than ever on their THIS IS FOR world tour, marking their sixth ever world tour and the first in support of their fourth full-length studio album, THIS IS FOR.

Spanning over a year, the tour began in 2025 and is set to conclude in June 2026, solidifying its place as one of the group’s most ambitious and expansive eras to date. Los Angeles served as the midpoint of the tour, bridging the North American leg with the highly anticipated European dates that followed. The group performed four nights in the city at the iconic Forum, with a live band that created a fiery, electric atmosphere throughout the nights.

Having seen TWICE at the same venue back in 2019, it was surreal to witness their growth firsthand, not only selling out the Forum once, but returning to sell it out three more times.

The nine members, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, and their rise in global stardom was undeniable, proven by consistently sold-out arenas and recent achievements, including songs featured in K-Pop Demon Hunters that were also performed during the tour.

One of the defining features of the THIS IS FOR tour was its 360-degree stage, designed in the round. TWICE performed facing every direction, ensuring that every fan, no matter where they were seated, felt seen and included. This stage design elevated the concert into a fully immersive experience, highlighting the group’s boundless energy and commitment to connecting with their audience.

With over 70 shows on the tour, each night still felt distinct. Although the setlist remained largely the same, TWICE brought something new to every performance, whether through playful interactions, emotional moments, or subtle changes in delivery and costuming (like Jihyo’s wavy hair, or Tzuyu’s bangs) that made each show feel personal. The third night in Los Angeles, which The Knockturnal had the chance to attend, stood out as noticeably different from the others.

Attending both the first and third shows, the difference was immediately noticeable. The venue felt more packed, the cheers louder, and the atmosphere more electric, as if excitement had built momentum with each passing night.

Opening the show was the tour’s title track, “THIS IS FOR,” instantly sending the venue into an absolute frenzy. The energy only escalated as the opening run of songs unfolded, closing out with the classic “I CAN’T STOP ME,” which served as the final track before the members’ self-introductions. This performance also marked the first appearance of confetti that night, adding to the spectacle, along with the background dancers who supported TWICE throughout the show and elevated each stage with their presence.

Throughout the night, the nine members embodied the phrase “THIS IS FOR ONCE: THIS IS FOR TWICE,” and the concert truly felt 100 percent catered to their fandom, ONCE. From start to finish, the show was a celebration of the bond between the group and their fans. The inclusion of solo stages allowed each member to showcase her own individuality, attitude, and power, reinforcing why TWICE stands as one of the most credible and influential names in K-pop today.

Following their introductions, the group transitioned into tracks like “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE” and “MARS,” both featuring stunning star-filled visuals that covered the 360-degree Forum stage. The transitions between songs felt intentional and cinematic, complete with dance breaks supported by the dancers and bold, fiery production elements that made full use of the massive stage. Every angle of the venue felt alive.

The setlist continued to balance intensity and fun seamlessly. Songs like “CRY FOR ME” took on a darker, rock-inspired twist backed by a live band and powerful vocals, while brighter, bubbly tracks like “THE FEELS” brought the crowd to their feet with synchronized dancing and sing-along moments that filled the arena with joy.

Then came the nine solo stages, which somehow passed by in the blink of an eye despite being some of the most captivating moments of the night. Mina delivered haunting elegance during “STONE COLD,” commanding the stage with quiet intensity. Chaeyoung brought effortless city-pop vibes with “SHOOT (Firecracker),” accompanied by graphics featuring her own illustrations that made the performance feel deeply personal.

Jihyo’s “ATM” was pure girl-power energy, complete with her signature confidence, glasses, and cool-girl charisma, while Momo leaned into a sexier side with “MOVE LIKE THAT,” paired perfectly with her cheetah-patterned wardrobe and fluid choreography.

Following the solo stages was a unit performance by Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung, an undeniable display of vocal strength and unit chemistry. The trio performed “TAKEDOWN” from K-Pop Demon Hunters, and the impact was immediate. The entire crowd was on their feet, singing along at the top of their lungs. It was nearly impossible to spot a single person seated, as the energy in the venue reached one of its highest peaks of the night.

TWICE closed out the show with hit after hit of beloved fan favorites. From “FANCY” to “DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY,” the entire community of ONCE was on their feet, dancing and singing along in unison. The encore continued with special tracks and surprises, including “DAT AHH DAT OOH” and the timeless “TT.”

The night came to an end as a fun, unforgettable experience, with plenty more shows to follow. The THIS IS FOR world tour proves once again why TWICE continues to stand at the top of global pop culture.
