Last week we dropped by the meatpacking district’s most exclusive club, Provocateur, for Developing Faces’ 2nd Annual Fundraiser, co-organized by the charity’s new spokesperson, TLC’s Breaking Amish & Return to Amish star turned model & fashion designer, Kate Stoltz.
Founded by Dr. Robert Morin, MD, FACS, Developing Faces is a 501(c)3 charity that provides high quality surgical care to babies and children with facial abnormalities living in developing countries around the world. Kate Stoltz starting working with the charity earlier this year and traveled to Guatemala City, participating in the Developing Faces Surgical Mission to Guatemala City, which was a huge success. The team of volunteers were able to complete 30 surgeries on children with facial abnormalities. Since then, she has gotten involved in the everyday duties of running the charity and its events.
2015 Miss Massachusetts World America beauty queen Maude Gorman was also a guest among the swanky and established crowd of 300 doctors, lawyers, models and bankers. The event not only drew a sold out crowd, but also reached its goal for the charity’s 2016 Surgical Mission to Guatemala City.
