He’s not just a talented judge and choreographer but a dynamic performer who continues to push creative boundaries on Dancing With the Stars and beyond.
Derek Hough is capping off a monumental 2024 with a mix of heartfelt performances and festive flair. He’s been dazzling audiences nationwide with his Dance for the Holidays tour, which kicked off on November 1 and runs through December 29. The show combines holiday traditions with Hough’s signature creativity, featuring everything from an Argentine tango inspired by The Grinch to a rock ‘n’ roll-infused rendition of “Jingle Bells.” By reimagining classic holiday tunes and pairing them with bold choreography, Hough has created a celebration of miracles and togetherness that is as visually stunning as it is emotionally stirring.
He’s also joined on stage by his wife following a serious health scare a year ago. Last December, Hayley Erbert “became disoriented” during their Symphony of Dance tour in Washington, D.C., and was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel, requiring an emergency craniectomy. Despite this harrowing experience, Erbert has made a triumphant return to the stage, dancing alongside her husband in a series of memorable performances.
Hough shared, “To be on stage dancing with my wife again… to have that moment together each night with the audience, it’s really special. I’m impressed by her every day.”
In addition to his tour, Hough partnered with GREENIES to celebrate the holiday season alongside another love of his life: Luna, the dog he and Hayley adopted. Through this partnership, Hough promotes health and joy for pets, highlighting GREENIES’ recipes formulated to support vital areas of canine health.
