Last Wednesday, daydream Masi headlined at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, NY.This was his first time performing at Baby’s All Right in one year, this time not as the opening act.
Over the past few months daydream has been performing all over the country. Masi concluded his tour at Baby’s All Right, and honestly very strong at that.
Masi’s opening song Favorite Drug was an instant crowd pleaser, his most popular song to date. The song was featured on the 13 Reasons Why Season 3 Soundtrack.
Masi kept the vibe rolling for a few tracks, then decided to perform a few unreleased songs, which the crowd was very happy about. They seemed to be feeling the “crack-head energy,” as he jokingly stated before him and his guitarist performed the groovy, surreal song.
After his last song, the crowd would not let Masi leave the stage. The crowd kept chanting “Encore!” hoping that daydream would perform one last song. After finally caving, Masi performed Nightlife, his most popular track on his EP the Slow Rage Project.
The new tracks showed a change of pace for Masi. From a mix of pop, Rap/R&B, and hints of slow rage comes an emerging artist with a matured and alternative sound. Before the encore, daydream Masi announced a new album on the way.
The show as a whole was a ride the entire time, and very well paced. The songs were exceedingly danceable and the artist captivated the crowd, which is all you need to have a good time.
Daydream Masi’s EP the Slow Rage Project can be streamed on Spotify.
