Just like there wouldn’t be a Batman without a Robin or Lennon without McCartney, there would be no Dirtybird without the help of the prolific DJ/producer, Worthy. In 2001, the DC native teamed up with Claude VonStroke and Christian and Justin Martin to create one of the most legendary labels that exist in the electronic music sphere today. While one might be quick to categorize Dirtybird and its artist as strictly techno, the fact of the matter is that those who are lucky enough to get recognized by VonStroke and his team produce music that stretches beyond the limits of one genre. Worthy is one of these artists. He poured his knack of experimentation into the creation of his own label, Anabatic Records, which gave a platform to other talented producers such as Will Clarke and Eyes Everywhere. As a thank-you to his profoundly loyal and faithful fans, he will be embarking on a 23-date tour across the US. This won’t be a regular artist tour, however. Worthy has gone out of his way to recruit the help of a multitude of Dirtybird players to join him along the road. The list includes Ardalan, Justin Martin, Kill Frenzy, Billy Kenny, and J. Phlip. He’ll kick off the journey in Brooklyn’s very own Good Room on Friday, January 13th – you can purchase tickets here, they’re super cheap. If you don’t live in NYC, fear not! There’s a high chance Worthy is making his way to a city near you.
