This Australian comedian is a superstar
Australian comedic talent Joel Creasey finally made his way back to New York for a very special three days at the Laurie Beechman Theater for New York Comedy Festival. His special, titled ‘The Hurricane,’ is a comedy set like no other.
Joel likes to talk about his life, such as that time he attended a sex party or saying whatever it takes to get a blowjob from his boyfriend. Joel brings an edgy, yet approachable set to the stage and takes the audience on a crazy and entertaining ride that brings nothing but a lot of laughter. One of the things that Joel talked about during his set that was especially hilarious was his time on the Australian version of “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” and how he was able to meet Marcia Brady aka Maureen McCormick. Apparently, Maureen is borderline insane and during his set he told the audience, in detail, all the little things that proved his theory that the lovable Marcia Brady was actually batsh*t crazy.
Joel’s charm and enthusiasm made every single person in the audience fall in love with him. Joel talked about a lot of different topics and comes from such a colorful background. He is able to take a lot of the dysfunctional situations that he has been in, like being in a sex party with a famous Australian actor who is supposedly straight, and make them relatable and extremely funny. His incredible joke writing paired with his stellar delivery and timing made for an extremely funny show. Joel Creasey, although sharing a lot of his life while living in Australia, was relatable and accessible, which is something a lot of comics fail to do when doing standup comedy. Joel is such talented performer and no matter what part of the world you live in, the name Joel Creasey should be a name that you recognize because he is going to be big.
